A religious text, opened to the chapter, Joy in Suffering, is being drilled into by a reading lamp modified with a motor and a scissor blade. as the lamp continues to scan back and forth across the page, the scissor blade burrows further and further into the text. The text is being drilled into, as it has been drilled into others.
